Kochi : The Kerala High Court on Tuesday has came down heavily on BJP leader Sobha Surendran for her PIL questioning the 'inhumane' police actions at Sabarimala and penalised for wasting the time of court.
The court pointed that the Public Interest Litigation unnecessarily wasting the time of the court. Slapping a fine of Rs 25,000 rupees, the court also dismissed the petition.
'No one should use the judicial system for cheap publicity. The action against the petitioner should be a lesson for everyone, the court added. However, Sobha Surendran made it clear that she will move Supreme Court against the order.
