Telecommunication services are generally considered as citizens’ source of empowerment and an effective medium for the socio-economic development of a nation. It has now become one of the core essentials for sustainable development and modernization of all sections of the economy.

In a country like India, mobile technology is the only alternative to provide Broadband feasibility for the economically backward people. In the area of biological effects of non-ionizing radiation, approximately 25,000 articles have been published over the past 30 years. Despite the feeling of some people that more research needs to be done, scientific knowledge in this area is now more extensive than for most chemicals. Based on a recent in-depth review of the scientific literature, WHO concluded that current evidence does not confirm the existence of any health consequences from exposure to low level electromagnetic fields.

Despite extensive research, to date there is no evidence to conclude that exposure to low level electromagnetic fields from wireless networks or base stations is harmful to human health. All the evidences collected so far concludes that, there is no long-term or short-term health consequences involved in the RF signals from base stations.
