AKPCTA to seek explanation from Deepa Nishanth over 'plagiarism row'

Thiruvananthapuram : The All Kerala Private College Teacher's Association State Committee ( AKPCTA) has decided to seek an explanation from Social activist and academic Deepa Nishanth who was caught in plagiarism row, after a young writer S Kalesh alleged she was copied the lines of his poem, which was published sever years back.

Asserting that no one is above the Association, the issue will be discussed with utmost seriousness in the next meeting, the office bearers said.

Kalesh posted evidence to substantiate his allegation. Later it was revealed that young orator Sreechitran, who is known for his speeches regarding the Sabarimala issue, was the one who lifted the poem.

'He claimed that it was his poem and Kalesh copied it, Deepa said in an exclusive interview with Newsrupt. Later both Deepa and Sreechitran had came up with a long apology for hurting Kalesh's sentiments.
