Sabarimala belongs to all : Kerala HC

Sabarimala,, Kerala HC

Kochi : The Kerala High Court on Monday said that the Sabarimala shrine belongs to every people, irrespective of caste and creed. The court also added that people can enter the temple even without the 'irumudikettu', the small pooja bundle carried by pilgrims to the temple.

While hearing a plea submitted by activist TG Mohandas, the court pointed that Sannidhanam itself is situated in the heart of 'vavar swamy' and the shrine is a symbol of religious harmony.

The court also expressed displeasure and slammed the petitioner for filing a plea to restrain the non-Hindus from entering the shrine.

Meanwhile, the state attorney had informed the court that the state government will arrange necessary arrangements and protection for any true devotee who wishes to mount the holy hills.
