High drama at Sabarimala : After two women, Mary Sweety too turns back from trekking the hills

Sabarimala,

Sannnidhanam : Hours after the two women activists decided to turn back from entering the Sabarimala Temple, a Kazhakkoottam native arrived at Swamy Ayyappan road for trekking the hills. However, she decided to drop the decision after the police informed that they would not be able provide a sufficient protection for her.

According to the reports, 46-year old Mary Sweety arrived at the place and said that she is a devotee and she wishes to visit Swamy Ayyappa today, since it is Vijayadasami.

However, the cops tried to reason with her pointing the tense situation in Sannidhanam. The latest report suggested that she has been moved to Pampa and she decided to drop the plan.

'We had brought them ( journalist Kavitha Jakkal&woman activist Rehana Fatima) till temple premises but tantri and priest refused to open temple for them. While we were waiting, tantri informed me that if we attempt to take the women ahead they would close the temple, said Sreejith, Inspector General of Police.
